Cats get their own appointment slots with no dogs in the shop, because most of what makes a cat groom go badly is noise. Depending on what the coat needs, we bathe, comb out, de-mat, trim nails, or take a badly matted coat down to a lion cut, always working at the cat's pace with breaks when they ask for them.
Long-haired cats mat faster than most owners expect, especially seniors who have stopped grooming their own back end. If the coat has pelted close to the skin, a shave-down is kinder than hours of combing, and we will tell you honestly which one your cat needs. Claws come home trimmed either way.
